PROJECT – TRUST IN SCIENCE (LONDON -IN PERSON)

BACKGROUND: We will want to talk to people about the hopes, expectations and worries they might have about scientific research in general

Overall, we are looking to identify factors that drive trust/mistrust in science and research institutions [national universities, research labs etc] and looking for 5 groups of people those with younger and older families, those that work in the NHS, some with Post Docs and early career Academics in research institutions and different views on Science.

Age 25+

DATES, TIMES & DURATION – IN-PERSON – FOCUS GROUPS IN RUSSELL SQUARE

Group 1 – Tuesday 4th July – Young Families – Age 30-50 – Mixed Gender of Parents – times @6:00-7:30 pm

Group 2 – Tuesday 4th July – Older families – Age 40-55 – Mixed Gender of Parents – Times @7:45pm-9:15 pm

Group 3- Wednesday 5th July – Climate Change – Age 25 to 45 – Mixed Gender (any Qualification) – times @6:00-7:30 pm

Group 4 – Wednesday 5th July – NHS Health Workers – Age 30-50 – Mixed Gender

Group 5 – POST – Doctoral Researchers / Early Career Academics – Age 25-35 – PhD – in Natural Science /Social Science/Humanities

INCENTIVE – CASH ON THE DAY

Focus Groups – £60 (Groups 1-4)//  Group 5 – Professionals Post Docs – £80
