Subject | Brain Imaging Study – Beer |
Date | Sunday 2nd September Monday 3rd September |
Times | see below |
Duration | 75 minutes |
Location | London Bridge |
Incentive | £40 |
We are looking for 24 males and females age 25 to 34 across 3 group sessions about advertising. These will be held in the London Bridge area.
During the session you will wear a small cap that measures brain activity or ‘brain waves’. The caps do not generate any electricity, are completely safe and have no effect on the wearer. You will first view about 30 minutes of a television programme. There will then be a few minutes break and after that we will be asking you to watch television again as well as use computers and iPads (which will be provided). During the session, you will view the TV programme through a set of glasses (similar to virtual reality goggles). While viewing the programme, you will also see a flickering white light on either side of the screen that is generated by the glasses. If you wear glasses, this is not a problem as the ‘goggles’ can be worn over the top of or in front of your glasses. This study requires that we have access to your scalp. If you wear a wig, hairpiece or any other head covering this may be difficult, and would prevent you being included in the study. Please do not apply if you have had a brain injury or had any brain surgery. WE CANNOT USE PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE THIS STUDY BEFORE However… it’s OK if you’ve done other research before. Session times are as follows; GROUP 7 – Sunday 6.15pm If you’re interested in taking part in this project, please enter your details below, then click on the “Register For This Project” button at the bottom of this form. Once we receive your application, if you fit the basic criteria, we will contact you for further screening before you’re selected to take part. You will only be contacted if the answers you’ve provided meet the criteria for this project and we have spaces left on the group – if you do not receive a response then you are not required to participate on this occasion. |
