Hi
We have been asked to carry out research on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The aim of the research is to help HSE better understand views, feelings and experiences in the manufacturing, quarrying and construction sectors relating to workplace risks associated with lung health, and the day-to-day and longer-term factors which influence their awareness, understanding and behaviours around controlling these risks.
The research will be made up of a 3 hour evening workshop to help HSE design tools for the workplace (such as posters) that will inform workers in the baking sector of the best ways to protect themselves from the risks posed by high silica dust in their day to day working lives.
This is not a surveillance or enforcement activity. HSE would like to use the results to support their efforts to reduce the prevalence of work related lung disease. They want to develop ways to help people working in high risk environments to look after their lung health and that of their colleagues and co-workers.
Looking for 5 people to take part in a larger workshop. This will be held on Tuesday 27th February from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
As a thank you for your time you will receive £70 either by online vouchers or a transfer into a PayPal account of your choice or a gift card.
