This research is on behalf of the Office for National Statistics (ONS). ONS are responsible for the Census in England and Wales – the Census gathers information about all people and households in order to understand the population. They want to understand what the public think of certain questions and language relating to ethnicity. The primary aim for research is to test how people react to a revised ethnic group question (and guidance) on the census. The project will be covering different categories of ethnic identity. Group 1: White non-British aged 18-34 Non-British whites can include Europeans and non-Europeans (Americans, South Africans, Australian, New Zealanders, etc). Other ethnicities to follow on different dates. If you’re interested in taking part in this project, please enter your details below, then click on the “Register For This Project” button at the bottom of this form. Once we receive your application, if you fit the basic criteria, we will contact you for further screening before you’re selected to take part. You will only be contacted if the answers you’ve provided meet the criteria for this project and we have spaces left on the group – if you do not receive a response then you are not required to participate on this occasion. |
