As part of this research, pilot training sessions for employers – on the topic of mental health in the workplace – are being run in London over a two day period. The details of these sessions are as follows: Session 1 – 23/05/2018 from 09:00 to 12:30 ‘Managing Mental Health in the Workplace: Good practice recommendations and the law’ (e.g. the legal position; reasonable adjustments; policies and procedures) Session 2 – 23/05/2018 from 13:30 to 17:00 ‘Managing Mental Health in the Workplace: Recognising the signs and symptoms and engaging with your team’ (e.g. risk and protective factors; rapport building) Session 3 – 24/05/2018 from 09:00 to 12:30 ‘Managing Mental Health in the Workplace: Creating the right environment’ (e.g. reducing stigma; creating a well-being culture) Session 4 – 24/05/2018 from 13:30 to 17:00 ‘Managing Mental Health in the Workplace: Building personal resilience’ (e.g. understanding the difference between pressure and stress; strategies for building personal resilience) It would be ideal to have people who have some experience/exposure of mental health in the workplace, but may not have previously taken significant steps to try and address the issue… and/or feel they would benefit from further training in this area. Sessions 1 and 2 are targeted at employers that may not have a great awareness of mental health in the workplace. Sessions 3 and 4 are aimed at those with a greater awareness and who may be looking to create the right environment and build resilience within their workplace. Looking for male and female HR Managers/Decision Makers or Line Managers aged 18+.
