Project Vulnerable Households – Inclusive Smart Solutions – South of England & London

Our client is looking for people to take part in a piece of research being conducted on behalf of Energy Systems Catapult and – the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

The client is keen on people from these areas: Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Bournemouth, and London.

Age 18-65+ Client is looking for people with and without vulnerabilities and long-term illness, Rural and city, Social Housing and Private Renting, those with and without kids at home, employed and unemployed. the client is not looking for affluent households.

This research will look at struggling households who cannot afford costs, so if you have /know people struggling, please pass on to them.

This research aims to increase our understanding of energy needs and current energy practices and gather your thoughts on how we can use innovative approaches to make our energy system more flexible and smarter.

Participation involves joining three 2-hour workshops,

• 1st November 6 pm-8 pm – £70
• 8th November 6 pm-8 pm -£70
• 15th November 6 pm-8pm-£70
• OR, NOT IN ADDITION TO if you would be more comfortable, an individual in-depth interview led by a professional researcher. – £50 (in-home)

• As a token of our appreciation for your participation, we will be offering an incentive of £50 for participants in in-depth interviews and £70 per workshop session for the deliberative workshops (totalling up to £210).

You don’t need to know anything about the topic in advance and there are no right or wrong answers –clients want to hear about people’s current energy practices.
