____________________________________________________________________We have been commissioned to undertake some consumer research involving a two-hour focus group discussion to understand behaviours and attitudes of vaping or e-cigarettes among people who have currently, or have previously smoked combustible tobacco (i.e. cigarettes, rolling tobacco).

The sessions will take place in a viewing facility in Islington.

Looking for 22 people – males and females aged 20 to 49 to take part in this research. You must all have previously smoked regularly.

GROUP B: Monday 15th – Open tank users/long term switchers – 6.00pm

Open tank users
Long term switchers

Incentive for this group is £60 in cash.

GROUP D: Tuesday 16th – Closed tank users/long term switchers – 3.00pm

Closed tank users (You replace a liquid filled tank or capsule – you cannot refill the tank with e-liquids)
Long term switchers

Incentive for this group is £60 in cash.

GROUP F: Tuesday 16th – Vape intenders – 8.30pm

Smokers who are actively considering nicotine alternatives for smoking

GROUP G: Wednesday 17th – Vape shop owners/managers – 3.00pm

Vape shop owners/managers who vape themselves

Incentive for this group is £100 in cash.

GROUP H: Wednesday 17th – Juul users – 6.00pm

Pair of friends who use the Juul device

Incentive for this group is £60 in cash.

You’ll be asked to complete a short pre-task before attending the group. You’ll receive an extra payment of £10 for completing this.
