WE CANNOT USE ANYONE WHO HAS DONE A BRAIN IMAGING STUDY BEFORE.
The client has a MASTER database of ALL previous participants, going back years. If you’ve done ANY Brain Imaging research in the past – even through a different recruiter – please don’t apply for this as it only wastes everyone’s time… you won’t be accepted. This study requires that we have access to your scalp. If you wear a wig, hairpiece or any other head covering this may be difficult, and would prevent you being included in the study. Please do not apply if you have had a brain injury or had any brain surgery. _________________________________ We are looking for 60 males and females age 18 to 65 across 15 group sessions about social media. These will be held in the London Bridge area. Each study will last about two hours and will be split into two parts: Part 1: In the first part of the study, lasting about an hour, you will wear a small cap to measure brain activity. The caps are completely safe and have no effect on the wearer. Study content will be viewed through a visor (similar to virtual reality goggles), which will generate a mild flickering light in your peripheral vision. The visor can be worn in front of normal glasses if you wear them. This part of the study will be filmed, but note that the filmed footage will be of the content you are browsing, rather than you personally. Part 2: The second part of the study will be a computer-based task, which will be completed with a member of the fieldwork team. In addition, during the study you will be required to log into your social media sites on our study phones – therefore it is essential that you know and bring your log-in details to the study for Facebook and Instagram. AGAIN, WE CANNOT USE ANYONE WHO HAS DONE A BRAIN IMAGING STUDY BEFORE. However… it’s OK if you’ve done other research before and friends and family can take part in the same sessions, provided you all fit the criteria. Looking for people who are active on Facebook, YouTube AND Instagram (ALL THREE)… and who follow particular celebrities on Instagram. The celebrities you follow will determine which groups you’re eligible to attend. Session times are as follows; GROUP 1: Tuesday 30th April – 12:00noon Incentive is £50 for the 2 hour session. Once we receive your application, if you fit the basic criteria, we will contact you for further screening before you’re selected to take part.
