Respondents
If you would like to join our database of people and be invited to take part in market research, why not take a moment to register?
Focus groups
We recruit respondents/participants to take part in focus groups. These are small discussion groups using carefully selected participants to match clients specification – usually a small but representative sample of people.
The focus groups are usually held at market research facilities. They include a facilitator who is called a Moderator and respondents/participants, for example, 4 to 12 people who have met the client’s criteria.
Sessions vary in length but typically last around two hours.
As a thank you for your participation, you are given an incentive to cover the cost of transport and your time. This is usually paid in cash and can vary from £20 to £150 depending on the type of research. Generally the discussion is a part in the development of a new product or service.
If you want to participate in a focus group, we have a registration process. We ask for some personal data to ensure that we only contact you for relevant focus groups. We never use your details in any other way or pass them on to other organisations and adhere closely to the Data Protection Act and rules and guidelines laid down by the Market Research Society.
